I enjoy collaborating with others to find creative solutions to problems at the intersection of business and technology, using Analytics and Design to develop practical solutions to complex challenges. I know the best innovations come from teams, not individuals. The goal is to contribute skills and perspective while remaining open to others’ ideas to build shared value. The priority is results.

Work

Through my work with Gemenie, I’ve gained technical skills across the software stack by independently leading the development of diverse applications. The experience allowed me to gain proficiency in areas like Python, Java, React, NLP, Unity, Snowflake, Docker, and cloud platforms including GCP and AWS. Some of my work:

• Stocks App: Engineered a mobile app that utilizes natural language processing and sentiment analysis of news articles to forecast market movements. Employing a custom Bag-of-Words approach and multivariate logistic regression, the app excels at predicting stock trends.
• Italian Restaurant App: Developed a mobile app that leverages the Google Places API and location data to pinpoint a restaurant chain’s nearby locations, order from their menu, and process that order. For areas without the chain nearby, the app expanded to showcase all local Italian restaurants with basic information like hours and contacts. This interactive app provides an enhanced customer experience by prioritizing the chain while still enabling discovery of other Italian dining options.
• React App for The Writer’s Almanac: Led development of a single-page React app to deliver content from The Writer’s Almanac. Integrated OpenAI’s Whisper API to power accessibility features. Also implemented robust search functionality to allow users to easily find specific content.
• Basketball Game Predictor: Created a Python-powered Streamlit application to predict winners of simulated basketball games. Using a Snowflake database and custom Keras models, I fine-tuned hyperparameters to enable precise game outcome predictions based on player statistics.

By managing solo projects end-to-end, I’ve developed strong abilities in planning, architecting, implementing, and deploying solutions using a wide range of technologies. I’m ready to apply this well-rounded technical skillset to challenges that demand creative software approaches.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (2023): Earned certification demonstrating expertise in architecting, implementing, and managing complex, scalable, secure, reliable applications and systems on the AWS platform.
• Georgia Institute of Technology MicroMasters in Analytics (2023): Completed an advanced MicroMasters program focused on statistics, analytics methods, data mining, modeling, and data visualization to strengthen my data analysis skills.
• Coursera Machine Learning for Production (MLOps) (2023): Completed comprehensive course on deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments. Gained hands-on experience with MLOps tools and workflows.
• AWS Specializations – Practical Data Science on the AWS Cloud (2023): Earned Specialization focused on applying data science and machine learning effectively on AWS services like S3, Glue, SageMaker, and more.
• Snowflake Hands-On Essentials – Data Applications (2022): Completed Snowflake training on developing data applications using Python, SQL, and Snowpark.
• GCP Specialization – Data Analytics (2021): Earned Specialization from Google focused on data analytics, BigQuery, data visualization, and machine learning fundamentals on Google Cloud.
• Machine Learning on Google Cloud Specialization (2018): Completed in-depth program covering machine learning and deep learning techniques using TensorFlow and Keras on Google Cloud Platform.
• Data Engineering, Big Data, and Machine Learning on GCP (2018): Completed in-depth Google Cloud training program covering data engineering, analytics, and machine learning applications on GCP.
• Southwestern College – Bachelor’s in Business Administration (2011): Earned well-rounded business education including courses in statistics, finance, accounting, marketing, and management.
